diversity project 002

The diversity project 002 is the second of a photo series where I bring and photograph strangers together at iconic locations around the city of Toronto! More specifically using this opportunity to create an experience and dialogue for us to see how different and similar our narratives are.

I just wanted to sincerely apologize to everyone on the delay of this personal project of mine last year. It was truly an experience that was one of the most memorable highlights of 2017. Words cannot explain how exhilarating and beautiful it was – getting out of my comfort zone and asking others to join me on that journey of meeting strangers and creating with them. Thank you!

With using the first one as a good foundation I was able to gage what worked well and what was missing. So this time I made sure everyone got really comfortable with each other before we started photographing – used a modified bingo as an icebreaker, which was a great hit!

I wanted to express my personal gratitude to everyone who came out that day. And a huge shout out to @shanikt for capturing some exceptional footage from the event (I don’t know why I look so angry and tense 👀🤦🏾‍♀️).
